There are many production companies in the film industry, some are British, where others are American. The production company's role can  be directly responsible for fundraising for the production.
It handles lots of different tasks for example  budgeting, scheduling, scripting, the supply with talent and resources, the organisation of staff, the production itself, post-production, distribution, and marketing.
