We had to film a short clip with three different shots and some dialogue. Ours was about two friends catching up on a school corridor and talking about the weekend. Now we are much more experienced and know what we are doing by using the equipment more efficiently and effectively than before.
Below is our preliminary task, we can see the difference and improvements between the final product and our first piece of work that we had to construct.
We think there is a very big difference between our first clip and the final product. We filmed the first piece of work at school and it was very noisy. Also we didn't feel very confident about using the equipment and the camera shots were a bit shaky. We even cut the tops of the heads off sometimes! When we did our final film, the main difference was knowing how to use the camera and the editing programme final cut pro. We were able to use different camera shots to make the film more dramatic and final cut pro to edit them together so the film had techniques such as transitioning from an opening wide shot of the house, to the close up of the main character to a flashback. This made the film more professional and more meaningful.
