6) What have you leant about technologies from the process of constructing of this product
During the process of making our open sequence we have used a various types of technologies and programmes to help us finishes our final product.
Prezi was a very creative way to answer our questions and help us in our research. it was successful because it engaged in the viewer as there was lots of functions to illustrate our ideas.
We used Motion 5 to help us create our logo. This was hard at the beginning but with playing around we have found out how to make an animated logo and a normal still logo.
During the actual filming of the opening sequence, we used used a Panasonic HDC -SD90 video recording camera. This camera had a very good quality and filmed really well in both locations. In some scenes it enabled us to use it as a handheld camera. However, in most scenes we used a tripod to make the scenes look professional and consistent. At the beginning the tripod was hard to use, but after practising with it, we have figured out how to use it.

Another major technology we have learnt how to use was the MAC. The apple Mac computer, was a real struggle as non of us knew how to work out how to use it probably. We over came this problem by time, as time went by we all have got used to it and knew all the tips and tricks,

One of the most technologies that helped us in the editing process was Final Cut Pro X. We used it by uploading all the clips from the camera to the Mac and then picked which footage we wanted to include in constructing of our opening sequence. We have trimmed, used the blade tool, added music and affects such as aged film.
Overall we think that we have really learned a lot about the different technologies. Looking back, we think we wasted a lot of time working out how to work the tripod on the camera, which meant we had less time for filming which was annoying. It was worth it in the end though as we could use it to film things like the opening shot of the house, and the shots of the girls together in the different rooms which needed to be steady. Also none of us had used things like changing the focus on the camera to that took time to figure out as well.
We also think we learned a lot about using final cut pro such as the different special effects and transitions which we used such as the transition from the close up of the main character at the beginning to the flashback.

7) Looking at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt from the progression from it to the full product?
Before filming the final products we had to become familiar with the equipment, so we had to prepare a preliminary task. During this phase we have became clear on any issues with the camera, shots, angles etc. We also learnt how to use a mac and how to transfer and download clips.
We had to film a short clip with three different shots and some dialogue. Ours was about two friends catching up on a school corridor and talking about the weekend. Now we are much more experienced and know what we are doing by using the equipment more efficiently and effectively than before.
Below is our preliminary task, we can see the difference and improvements between the final product and our first piece of work that we had to construct.
We think there is a very big difference between our first clip and the final product. We filmed the first piece of work at school and it was very noisy. Also we didn't feel very confident about using the equipment and the camera shots were a bit shaky. We even cut the tops of the heads off sometimes! When we did our final film, the main difference was knowing how to use the camera and the editing programme final cut pro. We were able to use different camera shots to make the film more dramatic and final cut pro to edit them together so the film had techniques such as transitioning from an opening wide shot of the house, to the close up of the main character to a flashback. This made the film more professional and more meaningful.

James Cameron's
"Titanic" is an epic, action-packed romance set against the ill-fated
maiden voyage of the R.M.S. Titanic; the pride and joy of the White Star Line

luxurious liner of her era -- the "ship of dreams" -- which
ultimately carried over 1,500 people to their death in the ice cold waters of
the North Atlantic in the early hours of April 15, 1912.

A change in a scene and character
When we started filming we found two difficulties. The first one was to find a middle aged daughter that lost her daughter, after finding her, a week before the filming session she said that she can't do it any more as she was busy. Therefore, one of use had to be in and we change the main character from a mum to a sister.
We also said that we were going to film in a graveyard in a church. However, this would of been difficult and people visiting might not like the fact that we are there and filming without any permission. Therefore we thought of just filming in a house on the sofa, where the character is sitting down and holding a photo remembering her sister.

FEEDBACK
We are very happy with this feedback as we know we are on the right track, we will regularly update our work.
Examples of production logo companies
There are many production companies in the film industry, some are British, where others are American. The production company's role can be directly responsible for fundraising for the production.
It handles lots of different tasks for example budgeting, scheduling, scripting, the supply with talent and resources, the organisation of staff, the production itself, post-production, distribution, and marketing.
20th Century Fox has made many films including Planet of Apes.

Another big production company is Universal and it did many notable films such as Meet the parents and Rush,

Working title films and this is a British production company and had produced films like
Four Weddings and a Funeral and Hot Fuzz.

Another very big production company is Disney.
